Job description

The Digital Campaign Manager is a dedicated media professional who is part of the VICE Digital team. This person helps VICE to further build and strengthen our overall digital network operations. The Campaign Manager is responsible for managing media sales that extends our own properties working across VICE channels and our network of premium publishing partners. The Campaign Manager is dedicated to develop great relationships with our publishing partners and agency clients, effectively working alongside the ad operations, media planning and sales team to deliver the best possible results for our clients and publishing partners.


Role and responsibilities:

Work within the Digital Media Operations team and report to the Head of Digital Media in order to:

  • Manage the scheduling, distribution, optimisation, communication and delivery for display, social and content campaigns on VICE managed platforms

  • Manage content partnerships with VICE editorial team and review commercial copy

  • Check inventory and set-up campaigns in management system with the utmost accuracy and efficiency, showcasing all media elements as provided by strategy

  • Create interim and end reports that have true value for the client. Be able to analyse data and transform data to a rationale for our commercial teams and clients

  • Close and lock campaigns at the end of the month with a great eye for detail

  • Manage social media activation for content campaign across our social platforms, like: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube

Key expectations:

  • Take full responsibility for all media campaigns and optimise to deliver in full and hit KPIs as set-up by strategy and planning team

  • Keep all stakeholder up to date of campaign status and changes at all times

  • Deliver an exemplary level of service and support for commercial teams

  • Follow international Hub-policy when campaigns are planned and delivered cross-market

  • Communicate challenges with senior staff to find the best solution


  • Degree in marketing or a media discipline such as digital media or communication

  • Use of DoubleClick ad serving systems such as DFP, Ad Exchange, DBM

  • Experience with social media advertising management systems such as Facebook Business Manager

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Dutch is a pre

  • 0-1 year work experience in an agency or publishing environment, working with any of the following: digital media, social marketing, campaign reporting, ad operations, media planning, or campaign management
