Creative Director

Job description

We are VIRTUE, the creative agency born from VICE.

Since 2006, we’ve used our entertainment DNA to help brands capture the attention of their audiences with work that speaks to our most primal instincts of pleasure, attraction and delight.

We believe in commanding, not demanding; entertaining, not interrupting; contributing, not leaching. Because brands  should add to the world they want to be a part of — not distract from it.

With presence in 21 countries, we craft campaigns, platforms, and IP for some of the most important brands on the planet. Using proprietary tools, access, and intelligence, we find new ways for brands to matter to the world through an entertainment-centric approach that plunges its hooks into audiences’ subconscious and refuses to let go.

Virtue is behind the award winning Chrome’s ‘Don’t Be A Browser’, Park MGM’s Las Vegas Love Stories, Weedmaps’ Museum of Weed, Dove’s Dear Future Dads, and Q the Genderless Voice.

We’re looking for a Creative Director that wants their work to be celebrated by real people, not only your mom or advertising colleagues. Although very much real, these people aren’t the ones we’re doing this for.

As a Creative Director you’re the creative thought leader on specific accounts or projects. You guide creatives towards great ideas, creative execution and secure the creative quality of the work. Being collaborative at heart you work together with strategy, production and the account team you nurture ideas to greatness.

You push innovation within the company beyond the briefs. As the client’s main contact person for creative work, you’ll build a trust-based relationship with both the client and the internal team. And it will be fantastic.

But wait, there’s more. As a creative director you won’t only guide ideas to greatness, you will also translate brief into bespoke creative ideas for local, European and global brands. And unlike traditional agencies we don’t have set creative teams. Which means you will solely be creatively responsible to create, present and produce your ideas on your own but can always count on the help of a talented team of strategists, creatives and designers. Whether it is to bounce ideas of, get feedback or share a beer. Do you have an appetite for ideas, excellent skills in creative management, concept development and eager to create great work? Then drop us a line.
