Junior Ad Operations specialist

Job description

You will be part of the Ad Operations team; responsible for the technical execution of all digital display, video and native campaigns across the VICE Network.

The role includes setting live digital advertising campaigns and optimising them; creative QA, troubleshooting, detailed reporting, data analysis, forecasting and inventory management are part of your responsibilities.



  • Own the execution of campaigns (Direct and programmatic) in our ad server (GAM/DFP) in a timely and accurate manner to meet client deadlines.

  • Execute trafficking requests from the campaign management team, including generating and sending passback tags to partners, in addition to making creatives and implementing a wide range of tracking pixels.

  • Test and QA creative assets to ensure they meet established specifications.

  • Generating reports across multiple platforms (GAM/DFP, MOAT, Brightcove, IAS, Celtra) to provide the client with reports or to create regional product performance benchmarks.

  • Be an internal and external agency resource for ad tech knowledge for any ad operations related issues.

  • Implement processes, systems, and best practices for ad operations – drive accountability, and Client KPI’s.

  • Traffic and QA HTML5/Image/Javascript creatives, Video, tracking pixels, and third party ad tags from multiple clients across a variety of platforms.

  • Provide support for troubleshooting 3rd party reporting discrepancies and testing rich media creatives.

  • Act as a point of contact regarding optimization, implementation and maintenance.


  • 2+ years of AdOps experience.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced & high intensity environment in order to meet tight deadlines and flexible with unanticipated tasks.

  • Must be an effective communicator.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience managing cross-channel campaigns.

  • Expertise utilizing ad-serving technologies such as GAM/DFP.

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript is a plus.

  • Basic programmatic advertising knowledge.

  • Strong analytical capability and Excel proficiency required.

  • Sound critical thinking skills and solutions-oriented.

  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team.

  • Active sense of urgency in all tasks.

  • Proactive.
