The Intelligence team is part of the Amsterdam based regional Media & Intelligence Hub that covers Europe, Middle East and Africa. It houses many nationalities, languages and cultures, working with more than 15 markets on a daily basis.


Role:

Work within the Intelligence team to develop audience and brand research from A to Z. You will have the opportunity to design research, collect, analyse and report on insights to better understand young audiences in the region to help inform all commercial actions and development within VICE, VICE+ and Virtue. More specifically, this role is divided between surveying young audiences to create profiles and help bring brands closer to this audience, measuring campaign performance across the VICE digital ecosystem and helping teams develop data-driven strategies and content. You will report to the Director, Insights EMEA.


Tasks:

  • Create surveys and do research to better understand the young VICE audience

  • Setup research for brands and campaigns

  • Work extensively on collecting audience and brand insights

  • Design, run and analyse the insights from brand lift studies to measure success

  • Research, analyse and report on local audience insights

  • Optimise and update audience data & insights based on local needs

  • Clean up data for analysis and visualise findings in an effective way for commercial and editorial teams across the region

  • Present findings to commercial and editorial teams

  • Train and support local teams on how to apply research and insights within their strategy

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of work experience in a relevant role
  • Degree in social sciences, media or communications with a quantitative focus or a quantitative discipline such as statistics or data science

  • Experience with research design and questionnaire setup

  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research

  • Excellent skills when it comes to data cleaning, analysis and reporting

  • Proficient in statistical analysis and reporting

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools like SPSS

  • Experience with data visualisation techniques & tools

  • Ability to create data-driven presentations with PowerPoint and/or Keynote

  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to present results in an engaging and clear way

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
